New 4 MoUs signed to Enhance Energy Cooperation & Sustainability Efforts

H.E. Karim Bedawi, witnessed the signing of four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between companies in the petroleum sector and global companies, with the aim of increasing cooperation in operational safety, energy efficiency and carbon reduction.

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Greece's DESFA signed their first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a focus on researching and studying carbon capture and storage technologies.

The second MoU was signed between The Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) and DESFA and aims to strengthen Egypt-Greece collaboration in carbon capture, renewable energy storage and the transportation of natural gas and hydrogen.

The third MoU was signed between GASCO and BakerRisk and will focus on operational safety, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction.

As for the final MoU, it was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Shell operational safety, and aims to develop and train leadership in health, safety, and environment (HSE) for EGPC-affiliated companies.
