In a meeting, Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing Utilities and Communities, reviewed the progress on establishing seawater desalination plants along the Red Sea. The plants will be located in Matrouh, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Dakahleya, North and South Sinai, Port Said, Suez, Ismailia, and the Red Sea. They are critical for meeting the needs of the expected population growth in these regions and supporting urban development in the new coastal cities.
