Egypt has experienced growth in its agricultural exports from January to August 2024, surpassing 5.6 million tons, according to H.E. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
While citrus fruits made a significant amount of these exports (277,386 tons), fresh potatoes were the second most exported agricultural product behind citrus fruits, with 957,481 tons. Onions came in third place with 236,907 tons, followed by grapes and beans in fourth and fifth place with 164,430 and 156,644 tons, respectively.
