On Monday, 13th January 2025, H.E. Hassan ElKhatib, Egyptian Minister of Investment and External Trade announced that Egypt will launch two phases that seeks to reduce the custom clearance time.
The first phase aims to reduce the clearance time to four days, by enhancing the operations. As for the second phase, it will aim to reduce the clearance time to two days, which will allow Egypt to boost its commercial competitiveness, lowering logistical costs, and saving an estimated 284 million dollars.
