Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, met with Vikram Kapur, Group President of Indian Renwable energy company ReNew Power, to discuss the development of a green hydrogen plant worth $8 billion in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The Plant is part of Egypt’s strategy to strengthen its positon as a regional clean energy hub. El-Khatib praised ReNew Power’s efforts in supporting renewable energy investments in Egypt, highlighting the potentional for job creation and sustainable development. The grren hydrogen project, which was initially agreed upon during COP27 climate conference in 2022, is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Egypt’s green energy initiatives.
